One day, when I returned from study abroad, I brought my beloved wife a special gift bought from a jewelry shop in London, UK. She immediately yelled happily to receive the jewel prize while kissing me: "Wow ... that's wonderful! Like the sand collars made by moon shells. I love this thing .... "
Have you heard artists talk about approaching their work organically, with no set order or design? And that they are inspired by nature?
I never understood that. For me, nature is anything but willy-nilly. One of my favorite things to do is walk a beach and wait for my eye to be drawn to some natural wonder. And invariably, the wonder that catches my eye is not something I'd term freestyle. It's the exact opposite. Rather, it's the order in the chaos that makes me do a double take.
